On Tuesday afternoon, we did some learning about Anglo-Saxon life, what villages would have been like and some of the jobs that the people had.
We then watched a video about how the houses were built and learnt about wattle and daub (I’ll let the children explain what daub was made from)! The video certainly made the wattle look easy to do so the children had the challenge of creating a mini house made from wattle!
As you can see from the photos, there were varying degrees of success! We learnt that team work was very important to do a good job, the sharing of ideas and listening to each other AND that it was a lot harder than we thought!
