On Monday 27th June, the Kittiwakes enjoyed a very exciting school trip to Teignmouth. We gathered in the morning at Starcross Station, and then we caught the train. Some of us had never been on a train before and we really liked going through the tunnels!
When we arrived in Teignmouth, we walked to the museum. We had brilliant fun at Teign Heritage Centre. We dressed up as Victorians and played lots of games. We also enjoyed singing ‘I do Like to be Beside the Seaside!’
After the museum, we walked to the Den to have lunch; the seagulls kept trying to steal our sandwiches! Next, we went to the beach for a talk from the Lifeguards. We learned all about beach safety and loved seeing their Quad Bike and Jet Ski.
After the beach, we enjoyed a delicious ice-cream (or ice-lolly) on the promenade before catching the train back to Starcross.
It was such a lovely day out, but we were all very tired by the time we got home!!’
