This week in Science, Razorbills have been busy designing boats. They have been investigating the effects of streamlining the vessel to create the least resistance in the water.
The lesson started with Plasticine being made into various shapes to discover which was the most streamlined and why that was. This information then helped to determine the shape of the hulls. To keep the test fair, each sail was the same size and made from the same material. Ask the children for the results once the boat race has happened!
