Check out our siege engines! A Siege Engine is a machine the Romans used during battles. There were many kinds like Scorpions, Ballistas and Trebuchets (ask an Oystercatcher for an explanation of the different kinds!)
We designed and made our own miniature siege engines that we could use for a game in the classroom. We learned how to measure and cut wood accurately, how to join parts together to make a strong structure and how to use all the equipment safely (including junior hacksaws and hand-drills).
