As you know, we are very lucky to have been chosen to be the pilot school for a remote print workshop, which has been arranged by DAISI and funded by The Helen Foundation. Six teachers at Starcross Primary school, have been developing their skills, remotely, under the guidance of local artist Simon Ripley from the Double Elephant Print Workshop in Exeter.
During our second workshop, we were introduced to relief printing and collagraphs. We all very much enjoyed learning these new techniques and cannot wait to develop these ideas when the children are all back in school.
Today, we tested out these techniques with small groups of children and we think that you will agree, that they have done an amazing job. Please enjoy looking at a selection of prints from today’s workshop.
