As well as the visit from South West Water on Monday, we had a visit from our local pharmacist, whom the children were surprised to find out worked in the field of Science.
He gave children some information about being a pharmacist and what his role involved as well as talking about the qualifications he needed.
Then the exciting experiment started showing how germs spread. The germs were represented by green paint and a UV light was used to show these jumping from hand to hand although they are invisible to the naked eye.
Some information was also given about head lice and how they spread.
The children had a great time learning and listening to the assemblies.
Huge thanks to Lewys for volunteering time to come into school as part of our Science Week.
