Marine Litter Talks in KS2

Posted on

This week and last week, the children in KS2 were given a talk by Gavin on marine litter.

The Blue Marine Foundation offered a free talk to educate the children in the problem of plastic pollution in the sea. It was very informative, especially when we looked at how long it takes for plastic to breakdown in the sea. Some types of plastic take as long as 400-600 years!

We also looked at what we could do to help reduce, reuse and recycle our waste at home and whilst we are out maybe enjoying time on the beach.

Gavin was very complimentary about how the children listened well to the talks and got involved. Many thanks for coming in.
