This morning in assembly, we celebrated the artistic talents of Max in Year 6. The staff at school had noticed his artistic flare as he progressed through the years and were delighted to be able to celebrate this along with Annie and Roger Kirk from the Helen Foundation. As you can see from the examples of work on display, Max has been able to use many details and precision in his art work capturing colours and patterns really well.
The Helen foundation was set up in 2006 to help support the Arts, whether it be dance, acting, painting or drawing, sculpture etc. It was to offer families and schools support financially to help promote the arts to as many children as possible. Here are Starcross, we have benefited from the foundation previously, most recently with the Djembe drumming session a couple of years ago.
