Many thanks to the parents and carers who attended our e-safety seminars at school over the past week.
We were lucky to have Adam Diment, Youth & Families worker from Dawlish Christian Fellowship, delivering an eye-opening presentation about how to keep our children safe and secure on the internet.
Some of the websites mentioned in the presentation are listed below.
It is up to all of us – parents, guardians, teachers, and the children themselves – to safeguard against the online dangers that are becoming more and more common all the time.
www.net-aware.org.uk provides safety reviews for all apps your children might be using.
www.learnmyway.com has a variety of short, easy to use courses on everything from online safety, to social media and online banking.
www.bbc.co.uk/webwise has lots of information on everything tech based, including handy short information videos and easy to read articles.
www.thinkuknow.co.uk is an excellent resource for safe surfing and internet safety for young people and carers.
If you have any concerns over your child’s e-safety, please do not hesitate to contact the school for further support.
Many thanks again to all the parents that attended and to Adam for his excellent presentations.
