A Healthy Sort Out in Curlews!

Posted on

In Curlews science today as part of the topic of Animals, Including Humans, the children were having a sort out of a balanced meal.

They started with an activity sorting the types of food into the different groups, such as: proteins (meats and fish), carbohydrates (cereals, potatoes, bread), fats and sugars (chocolate, fizzy drinks, biscuits), dairy (milk, yogurt), fruit and vegetables. Once this was completed, the children created a lunch, making sure they had a mixture of all the food groups.

Below are a few examples of the children sorting their lunches out with the different food groups. Well done Curlews!
