For our dance topic last term, Razorbills looked at the ‘street’ style of dance, which is very current and one we all enjoyed. We used the song ‘Uptown Funk.’
The children learned about the style of dance (dancing with swag!) and being synchronised with the music and with each other. We then performed the dance in Happy Assembly as a ‘flash mob.’ Parents were invited in, but didn’t know what to expect and the rest of the school didn’t know either! The music started and the children brought out their sunglasses and hats from their sleeves and just started to dance! They did such a good job of containing their excitement until the moment of performance!
Here is a version of the dance we filmed in our P.E lesson.
Great job Razorbills!’
